Our condition guide
Every book we sell is preloved — read at least once, and honestly graded. Here's exactly what each grade means, so what lands at your door is what you expected.
Practically untouched. No markings, no creases, a clean and tight spine. If it weren't preloved, you'd struggle to tell. May have the faintest shelf wear.
Gently read and very well kept. Pages are clean and complete; at most a small crease, a lightly softened spine, or minor edge wear. No writing inside.
A comfortably read copy with honest signs of life — some spine creasing, a bumped corner, a little cover wear, or a previous owner's name inside. All pages present and fully readable.
Well-travelled but complete and readable — noticeable wear, creasing, a cracked spine, tanned pages, or light highlighting/notes. A reading copy, priced to match. We'll always flag anything significant on the listing.
What we never sell
If a book is water-damaged, mouldy, missing pages, or falling apart, it doesn't go on the shelf — we recycle it responsibly instead. The grades above are the full range you'll ever see from us.
Real photos, every time
The picture on each listing is of the actual copy you'll receive — not a stock cover — so you can see the exact condition before you buy. And because every book is one of a kind, once it's sold, it's flown.
